Vegetarian or Vegan Diet Reduces Carbon Footprint

I always knew that eating a vegetarian or vegan diet reduced our carbon footprint.  But I never knew by how much.  I stumbled onto this article today, and even though its a couple of years old, it puts the reduction in carbon footprint in quantifiable terms.
